MUA Undress Me Too vs Naked 2

I LOVE both my Naked Palettes and thank the lord they were created. These twenty four gorgeous, high quality neutrals crammed into two palettes have been the only shadows I have used in a long time. I have always shied away from MUA Cosmetics until recently. I honestly thought for the low prices they charge that the goods really couldn't be up to much? I was completely wrong. The MUA Undress Me Too palette above cost a tiny £4 and the Urban Decay Naked 2 is a rather pricey £36.

So here are the swatches. The bottom section in each photo with flash.

I borrowed my Mum's skinny little arm for the swatches!

Top row MUA Undress Me Too from left to right - Naked, Devotion, Shy, Fiery, Lavish and Dreamy

Bottom row Urban Decay Naked 2 from left to right - Foxy, Half Baked, Booty Call, Chopper, Tease and Snakebite

As you can see the matte Urban Decay shadows are slightly more pigmented. They are also smoother and wear longer than MUA's alternatives. I think Foxy and Tease win over Naked and Lavish.

It's very rare that I wear matte shadow anyway and the important ones for me are always the shimmery options. Wow! MUA's shadows in this category give Urban Decay a real run for their money. Fiery is an exceptional alternative to Chopper which happens to be my favourite in Naked 2. I have been wearing this constantly since I picked up this bargain palette and it really is great. A silkier application and just as long lasting as it's Urban Decay rival. The same can also be said for Devotion and Dreamy.

Top row MUA Undress Me Too from left to right - Tranquil, Exposed, Reveal, Wink, Obsession and Corrupt

Bottom row Urban Decay Naked 2 from left to right - Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted and Busted

Once again these MUA shimmers are an unbelieveable dupe for the UD's. Verve is my go to everyday shadow from the Naked 2 palette, it's almost gone so I have switched to Reveal with no problems at all. My only gripe is that Corrupt is far less pigmented and more chalky than the smoother and blacker Busted. At £4 though who can complain?!

Overall Undress Me Too gets a big thumbs up from me! I bought it to wear for work to prevent me using the Naked 2 palette too quickly but to be honest I like it just as much as the Naked 2. I even prefer Fiery and Devotion to Chopper and Half Baked. They really are a lovely quality and it's hard to believe how little the palette cost.

One things for certain, when my Naked palettes run out I won't be repurchasing them. I'll be getting the MUA versions. I think these will keep me going for a while though ;)

Don't forget you can win an Undress Me Too and other bits and bobs in my giveaway

Have you tried Undress Me Too?

Have a great weekend everyone!

XxX

  1. i'd heard a lot about the MUA Undress Me, although was under the same impression as you. Didn't think they would be up to much because of the price. So glad you showed us the swatches! Definitely going to get one now! x

  2. Thanks for the comparison! I really wanted the Naked 2 so I'll be getting the MUA palette instead. I own their Heaven & Earth palette and use it all the time.

  5. As much as I'm obsessed with make up, I'm actually embarrassed to say I do not own either Naked palettes, which is something I am going to change as I have heard nothing but great things being said about them! However, I do have a few MUA cosmetics under my belt and I've loved every single one I've purchased so thank you for sharing this palette with us! I haven't actually seen it, but I'll definitely invest in all these palettes, they just sound a dream! Thank you for sharing!!!

    Lots of love, Jayde-Paris xxxx
