I honestly thought that this selection of colours was going to be one of my favourites but as I fished each one out of the storage box I realised that bright pink just isn't my thing. I buy them thinking that they look so pretty in the bottle but in reality I'm not too keen on the colour when it's actually on. These days I seem to prefer more muted or even pastel pinks.
OPI's Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It is a pink glitter with tiny pink hearts suspended in the polish. As much as I love the concept of this it looks way too girly and Barbie-like once you finally get the knack of applying it. Those hearts are hard to come by. Maybe I'll give it one last chance over black or something?
The same applies to bright orange. Perhaps with a tan in Summer but I'll pop them back into the box for now.
I do love some of the polishes above - Peach Melba, Apricot Punch, Blitz, Strawberry Fizz and Flamingo Coral are all regulars. Rimmel Apricot Punch and Strawberry Fizz actually smell of the said fruit so that adds a bit of interest...
Pics taken within the last 12 months - I haven't had a busy week of nail painting ;)
I think doing this post has made me realise just how similar some of the above colours are. However I am now on the look out for the perfect Springtime pink. Any suggestions?
I hope you all have a lovely week!
XxX
I agree with you about pink. I'm always so attracted to pink polishes in the bottle. In reality I only ever wear pink on my toes as I feel like pink finger nails are too Barbie. I do however also own Barry M's Peach Melba and I love it.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree Christine but I'm always attracted to them. The bottom left pic is actually Shellac and I spent the next 2 weeks regretting it ha ha! Xx
DeleteSorry I mean bottom right!
DeleteSurprisingly I'm not really a big pink nail polish person and I have no idea why. But I am loving all of those pale oranges and tangerine colors! They look amazing!
